Rates/Payment

Bound to Read has two price structures:

One structure is for billing school districts or other entities where substantial overhead is required

The second price structure is a lower rate for individuals and families who will be paying directly. Note that we offer substantial discounts for prepayment.

Self-Pay Rates (For a family)

• $50/hr for 2 hours of virtual instruction per week. This includes basic weekly reporting to parents and/or outside teachers working with your child (at parental request).

• $60/hr for in-person, one-on-one instruction at our Northland location in Kansas City, Missouri.

• $75/hr for any in-person instruction away from our Northland location (includes mileage within 20 miles from our office.) The hourly rate begins as soon as the instructor arrives but no more than 15 minutes before the lesson is scheduled. 

• $60/hr for any virtually attended meetings by the instructor (IEP meetings; 504 meetings, etc.)  Charges will be added to the following month's invoice. 

• $75/hr for any in-person attended meetings by the instructor (IEP meetings; 504 meetings, etc,...).  This fee includes mileage up to 25 miles away from our office.  Drive time is not charged.  The hourly rate begins as soon as the instructor arrives but no more than 15 minutes before meeting is scheduled.

All private lessons are to be prepaid for the month (discounts available for longer-term prepayment)
