Many states have legislation governing Dyslexia diagnosis and treatment. As a service, we are collecting that information here. If you are aware of something that could be useful to other parents or teachers please let us know.
In 2016, the Missouri Legislation passed House Bill 2379 and Senate Bill 638 which require the screening of students for dyslexia along with reasonable supports in the classroom. The classroom support and screening will align with guidelines developed by the Department of Elementary and Secondary Education. Each teacher is also required to have two hours of professional development in the area of Dyslexia.
