How long will it take?

The entire program, start to finish, is entirely dependent upon your student.  We will assess them thoroughly to ensure the right beginning placement.  If they tend to learn slowly (most of our kids do because they have a tough time processing) it will take longer for the program.  If they process quickly, and we are just trying to catch up one grade level, it will not take as long.  The average time spent is about 18-24 months to work through the program.   That's no guarantee, but that's an average amount of time for our clients. 

Our experienced, certified instructors provide individualized one-on-one sessions, either in person or virtually, 2 times per week.   Our 60 minute sessions will include some or all of the following: 

• Building phonemic awareness

• Accurately reading words

• Accurately spelling words

• Comprehension of what is read

• Expanding vocabulary through learning Greek and Latin roots and meanings.  (55-60% of the English language comes from Latin, mostly through the French;  20-25% from Anglo-Saxon; and about 15-25% comes from Germanic languages. )

• Handwriting and legibility. 

• Writing narration with confidence and creativity

• Sentence combining exercises

• Grammar taught through a student's writing
