Kathryn Brady Cronk, Owner and Lead Tutor

Kate holds current and lifetime certifications to teach secondary English and Speech in Missouri, Kansas, Texas, and Kentucky along with a Masters Degree in Curriculum and Instruction. 

After a long career in public education teaching English, Kate began working as a dyslexia tutor and became a certified instructor in while living in Buffalo, New York.  While in Buffalo, Kate obtained her Barton Reading Certification, and trained through the Orton-Gillingham Academy through both the Classroom Educator Level and the Associate Level through Academy Fellow, Dawn Niemann.   

Kate also holds a micro-credential in the Science of Reading Fundamentals from SUNY (State University of New York), New Paltz; as well a certificate of training in Morphology from the Reed Charitable Foundation.  

Bound to Read serves the North Kansas City area with in-person services and can serve anywhere in the United States with Zoom-based virtual sessions. 

Individual or small-group work through any of the Northland public schools is available.
